On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) Secretariat convened a Joint Meeting of the Executive Committee (ExCom), Oversight Committee (OC), and Resource Mobilization Committee (RMC) at the CCM Secretariat Meeting Room, 1st Floor (near Simuang Temple), Vientiane Capital.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Khampheng Phongluxa, Director General of the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute and Chair of the Oversight Committee. It was attended by members of the ExCom and OC, the Principal Recipient Programme Management Unit (PR-PMU), the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and representatives from development partners.
The objectives of the meeting were to review and deliberate on progress updates regarding the implementation of Global Fund (GF) grants across the following areas:
• GF Grant implementation for CCM activities;
• GF Grant implementation for the Malaria Programme under RAI5, including the RAI5 Allocation Letter;
• GF Grant implementation for the Catalytic Matching Fund;
• GF Grant implementation for the HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) Programmes, including the Technical Assistance (TA) Request from L’Initiative (Expertise France) and the 2026–2028 Allocation Letter for HIV and TB Grants; and
• GF Grant implementation for the HANSA Programme.
Following constructive discussions and exchanges among committee members, partners, and implementing agencies, the meeting concluded with a summary of key action points and agreed next steps to ensure the continued effective implementation of the Global Fund grants in the Lao PDR.
